Writing a review on Trustacy or otherwise use of our website, including but not limited to www.trustacy.com, or our applications (collectively referred to as the "Trustacy"), you accept the processing of your personal data (the "Policy") as described in this Policy.

1 Information Collected By Us and What It’s Going To Be Used For:
1.1 Registered User Primary Information:
While creating a profile on our Website, we collect the following primary information about the user:
User-id
Password
Email address.
Other additional information like company name, profile photo, gender and location.
Your user-id (and other relevant information you add to your profile) in relation with your company’s review(s), will be displayed on our Website. Kindly note, depending on the information you provide, you may or may not have anonymity.

1.2 Information in Reviews and Ratings:
Trustacy collects the following information included in a review:
Name of the company reviewed.
The type of buying or service experience of the company named.
Feedback/Evaluation of purchase experience with the company.
The date/s of original and, changed (if any) review/s.
A reference number or order ID of the product/service (if reviewer or the company provides one).

1.3 *Information From Other Services, Including Social Networks:
As part of our services, we offer reviewers the option of connecting their Social Network profile i.e. Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and Twitter ("Social Network(s)") with the Trustacy Website. The select information which is automatically collected is limited to what is made available on Social Network/s and the individual’s privacy permissions for sharing. This includes the following:
Name and/or Username
Email address
Gender
Date of birth
Profile photo
Location
Social connections
Other information made public via the Social Network
When you make a request to connect your Trustacy profile with a Social Network profile, you will be informed about which information we will collect from the Social Network in question. You will receive an alert before your request is carried out.
*The clauses and subclauses pertaining to integration and use of Social Network profiles will become relevant once Trustacy initiates linking users’ profile with shared Social Network profile/s.

1.4 Cookies:
The Website uses cookies, which is, digital information stored on a computer. Cookies identify a computer rather than an individual user, and, are used for different purposes.

1.5 IP Address, Browser Settings and Location:
When anyone (company or reviewer) visits the Trustacy website, we register the computer's IP address and browser settings. The IP address is the numerical address of the computer used to visit the Website. Browser settings can include the type of browser you use, browser language, and time zone. This information is collected to enable Trustacy to trace the IP addresses in cases of misuse or unlawful actions in connection with visits to or use of the Website. Further, we use the IP address to estimate the location (at city level).

1.6 Newsletter Sign-up Information:
We collect the information, such as name and email address, from the user on signing up, to e-mail our newsletters. If the user no longer wishes to receive our newsletters, one can unsubscribe by logging in to the user profile and changing personal settings.

1.7 How We Use Reviewer Information:
We may use reviewer information provided to us, to:
Offer our services, including displaying a review, and providing access to our Website.
Identify the reviewer based on his/her social network profile.
Verify the legitimacy of reviews and ratings.
Improve the Website and our services.
Invite reviewers to leave more reviews.
Respond to questions and provide related customer service.
Contact the reviewer if a review is flagged by other reviewers or companies and, if necessary, the reviewer will be asked to provide documentation to verify the review.
Send invitations to publish a review on Trustacy.
Inform you when other users find your review helpful or otherwise provide feedback in relation to your review.
Facilitate our social sharing function, including the option to connect to the Trustacy Users’ Network, and reviewers’ Social Networks.
Engage in various internal business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products and services, improving or modifying the Website or our services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and operating and expanding our business activities.
Comply with, applicable legal requirements and processes, requests from public and governmental authorities, relevant industry standards and our internal policies.
Enforce our Terms & Conditions.
Protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates.
Protect our rights, privacy, safety or property and/or that of our affiliates, you or others.
Allow us to pursue available remedies or limit any damages that we may sustain.
Display which members of your Social Networks are users of Trustacy in order to increase the confidence in reviews and to create a better user experience on our Website.
We may also use the information in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection. We may use or disclose information that is not personal information for any purpose to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2 Disclosure of Personal Information:
2.1 Disclosure of Personal Information on the Website:
Acceptance of this Policy also implies consent to disclose information about users on the Website. This includes company name, brand or product name and service type. We recommend that users exercise care and caution when deciding which information to make available on the Website, and be aware that depending on the level of information provided, user may or may not be anonymous.

What Information Will Be Displayed?:
When register on our Website and create a profile, your company name will be visible to other users of the Website. For reviewers, the reviewer name will be displayed. We do not display or allow personal information to be published in the review.

Information Collected:
We undertake not to misuse or communicate the information collected. This includes for personal use and to communicate to unknown entities.

Other Information:
Other information provided by you on the Website, including photos and reviews, is automatically made visible on the Website. The companies you review may also receive information about your review. Geo-Location: When you make a contribution to the Website, we use your computer's IP address (see section 1.4 of this Policy) to approximate your location to the nearest city. This is made available to other users of the Website.

Social Networks:
If a reviewer connects to Trustacy via a Social Network, information such as profile photo, name, birth year and approximate location will be collected from the Social Network profile and used to identify the reviewer on the Website. Subject to privacy settings and the level of information available from the Social Network, users of the Website may be able to use this information to identify which reviews have been written.
If the reviewer choses to preserve anonymity by using a pseudonym be aware that information from Social Network(s) may reveal identity in part or in full and make it possible to identify which reviews have been written.
If reviewer contacts or contact's contacts (jointly referred to as "Connections") on the Social Network have also connected with Trustacy, we may display on the Website how these are connected.

2.2 Disclosure on Services to Which A Reviewer Can Connect A Social Network Profile/s:
If a reviewer chooses to connect to Trustacy with profiles on a Social Network, information and reviews provided by him/her on the Website or data compiled by us about use of the service on the Website (e.g. the number of reviews written) will be shared with, and displayed, in connection with the profile on the Social Network and will be subject to the privacy policy of the Social Network.

2.3 Disclosure to Other Services and Companies:
One of Trustacy's main goals is to increase the exposure and availability of reviews on the Website. We therefore permit other services to show reviews created on the Website. This increases the potential audience for a company’s reviews. The categories of third party services and companies to which the information is disclosed are:
Search engines, including Google and Bing.
Companies reviewed on Trustacy.
Consumer portals and business portals, including price comparison websites, shopping guides etc.
Other similar websites, in Trustacy's assessment, where it will be relevant for users to search for reviews.
Once a review is submitted, it is published on the Website. This means that the following information is disclosed:
The review(s), (see section 1.2),
Company name, service offered, product or brand name.
User location (approximated to the closest city).
Reviewer’s name or pseudonym.
If a review is written on Trustacy in response to an invitation sent by a company via Trustacy's invitation services, the company who sent the invite will be able to link the review with the invitation.
If we need to verify a review, we may contact the reviewer and ask for documentation that shows a Service Experience with the company. We therefore recommend that the reviewer keep such documentation for 12 months from the date of first publishing the review. We do not share the documentation sent to us, with the reviewed company. However, we may pass on a reference number to the company, unless we are asked not to.

2.4 Other Disclosures:
In addition to the above, we may disclose personal information to the following parties and under the following circumstances:
To allow third party vendors, consultants and other service providers to perform services on our behalf.
To Trustacy subsidiaries and other companies within the Trustacy group of companies.
To comply with laws or to respond to claims, legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas and court orders) and requests from public and government authorities.
To cooperate with regulatory bodies and government authorities, including but not limited to relevant business ombudsmen, in connection with investigations or case referrals.
To third parties in connection with enforcement of our Terms & Conditions.
To third parties in order for us to protect our operations or those of our affiliates.
To third parties in order for us to pursue available remedies, or limit damages that we may sustain.
To third parties in order for us to investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected or actual prohibited activities, including but not limited to fraud and misuse of our Website.
To a third party in the event of any reorganisation, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business or assets (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).

3.1 Information Over Which We Have Control:
We have control over the information entered during registration and profile creation, which includes but is not limited to name, password and email address, as well as the registration of the IP address. We also have control over the information disclosed to other services (see section 2.3). Applicable laws within the Republic of India govern collection of data by Trustacy.
3.2 Information Over Which Users Have Control:
Users have control over the content chosen to disclose on the Website, and for that which is disclosed when a reviewer connects a Social Network profile(s) with Trustacy.

4 Links to Websites:
Our Website contains links to other websites. Our inclusion of such links does not imply our endorsement of those websites. We do not control the content of those third party websites, and assume no responsibility for the third party or their policies or practices. We encourage users to review privacy policies for these third party websites because their procedures for collecting, handling and processing personal information may be different from ours.

5 Information Processing and Transfer of Personal Information:
We use external companies for maintaining the Website and our services. These companies process personal information over which we have control. By accepting this Policy, you agree that we may also allow the information over which you have control, to be processed by the same external companies.
The data processing companies act solely in accordance with instructions from us. By accepting the Policy, you authorise us to instruct these companies to process information in accordance with the Policy and for the purpose of using the Website.
The data processing companies will be taking reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect against the information being accidentally or illegally destroyed, lost or deteriorated, and to protect against the information being, disclosed to unauthorised persons, misused, or in other ways processed in violation of the IT (Information Technology Act) 2000.

We seek to use reasonable organisational, technical and administrative measures to protect users’ and reviewers’ personal information within our organisation and we regularly audit our system for vulnerabilities. However, since the internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of information transmitted to Trustacy. Emails sent via the Website are not encrypted, and we therefore advise recipients not to include any confidential information in their emails to us.

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies ("Cookies"). By using our Website, you accept that we use Cookies as described below.

7.1 What Types of Cookies Do We Use?

Monitoring the Performance of the Website and Use of Our Website- Monitoring the performance of the Website, our applications and widgets and how our Website uses these applications and widgets.
Authentication and Improving the Functionality of Our Website- Optimising visitor experience with the Website, which includes remembering usernames and passwords when users return to the Website, and remembering information about browsers and preferences (e.g. preferred language).
Connecting Reviewers to Social Networks- We give reviewers the option of connecting with Social Networks, such as Facebook.
Quality Assurance- Ensuring the quality of reviews and to prevent misuse or irregularities in connection with writing reviews and using the Website.
Targeted Advertisements Displaying relevant advertisements on the Website, including interest-based advertisements, which we believe are of interest to visitors. We use third parties to provide these advertisements when users or reviewers visit the Website and other websites. These third parties may use Cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about a visitor when he/she uses our Website and other websites.

7.3 Third Party Cookies:

Javascript: For monitoring purposes, including how our Website is used, widgets and applications and to create a rich website and widgets.
Google Analytics: For the purpose of monitoring the traffic on our Website, such as general visitor numbers, conversions, and similar.

7.4 Deletion of Cookies:

If the shortcuts do not work on the web browser, please visit the support page for the browser in question. 8 Access, Correction and Deletion:
8.1 Access to Personal Information:
Upon request, we will inform users of the purpose for which we process personal information; what we have; who receives it and, from where the personal information originates.
Requests regarding the above will only be processed if more than six (6) months have elapsed since any previous request made, unless it can be substantiated with a special interest in obtaining the information earlier.

8.2 Correction and Deletion of Personal Information:
Registered Users and Reviewers, are requested to let us know if any of the personal information that we, as the information controller, process about them, is incorrect or misleading and we will correct it. They will be able to correct most of this information themselves on our Website. If possible, we recommend that users and reviewers make the correction(s) themselves. At any time, any content and personal information on the Website, can be corrected or deleted, over which user or reviewer has control (see section 3.2). If personal information changes, or if a user no longer wishes to appear on the Website, the information may be updated or deleted, by logging in to the user profile.
When a profile is deleted, all information associated with it, is deleted, including personal details and reviews on the Website.
We reserve the right to block access to a profile and/or delete it if, the profile or the content associated with it, including review(s) on the Website is, in our assessment, discriminating, racist, sexually oriented, unethical, threatening, offensive, harassing or otherwise violates applicable laws, third party rights, the User Guidelines or is inconsistent with the purpose of the Website. If we block access to or delete a user profile, we will inform the reason, by sending an email to the address provided when creating the account.

9 Changes to the Policy:
We may change this Policy at any time. The date shown at the start of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Policy on the Website. Users and reviewers agree that continued use of the Website after any posted modifications constitutes acceptance of the new version of the Policy.
